For our client in Antwerp we are hiring a Construction QC Inspector - Mechanical.
For a major industrial construction project in Antwerp, we are looking for a Construction QC Inspector – Mechanical.
You will report to the Site Quality Control Manager and monitor the quality of mechanical and piping construction activities, working closely with discipline supervisors, subcontractors and the QC/turnover team.
Your responsibilities will include:

Your responsibilities will include:
• Review and comment on subcontractor procedures and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Perform witness inspections and surveillance checks, and assess subcontractor QC performance.
• Verify that work complies with the Construction Site Quality Plan, approved ITPs and project procedures.
• Ensure inspection activities are documented in the appropriate records.
• Monitor subcontractor QC resource levels against agreed requirements.
• Identify and document subcontractor and supplier quality deficiencies, initiating the non-conformance process where required.
• Record deficiencies and incomplete work as punch items and coordinate rectification with supervisors and superintendents.
• Coordinate field inspections with discipline supervisors.
• Verify that materials comply with project technical documents, applicable codes and specifications.
• Support the QC/turnover team in collecting inspection and quality records.
• Follow site HSE procedures and report unsafe acts and conditions.
Je profiel
We are looking for someone with:• A solid background in mechanical and piping disciplines.
• At least five years of experience in construction.
• Familiarity with completions and turnover management processes.
• Experience reviewing procedures and ITPs, performing inspections and maintaining QC records.
• Experience identifying and following up non-conformances and punch items.
• The ability to coordinate effectively with subcontractors, discipline supervisors and the QC team.
