For one of the largest chemical construction projects in Europe, we are hiring a Construction Manager.
• Manage the construction team on site with direct reporting lines from the field supervisors and reporting into the Sr. Project Manager
• Establish and coordinate the ECR constructability program.
• Coordinate preassembly/modularization issues.
• Prepare Construction requirements for ECR as needed.
• Determine heavy haul/ lift requirements, construction resources for the PDT as well as for each of the installation companies and leveraging strategy over the Pillars as well as within the Pillar.
• Coordinate Establish the material /equipment lay-down areas for the ECR
• Provide Input to the residual detailed engineering and required estimate related to changes or additional scope Responsible for delivering the construction activity as per the project specification (e.g. quality), within the given budget (e.g. signed installation contracts) and the Execute schedule
• Establish construction management staffing plans and man-hour planning and support project controls in the cost forecasting.
• Provide input on various construction technologies and review the provided method statements from each of the installation contractors/works.
• Active participant in the selection of the installation companies (e.g. scaffolding, mechanical, E&I etc.). Participate in the establishment of horizontal contracts such as concrete batch plant or heavy lift contractors, as required
• Provide input to the Contracting strategy related to the installation companies.
• Evaluate and provide mitigation plans for construction related risks identified by the ECR and/or other Pillars.

• Broad estimating skills and practical understanding of costs (capital, operating, life cycle)
• Willing and flexibility to travel.
Specific Role Requirements:
• experience with strong design engineering/procurement background and a broad understanding of multiple disciplines and their interfaces
• Proven track record of delivering leading SHE performance
• Experience of supervising work in a Contractor’s Design Office
• Experience of supervising work in a Module Fabrication Shop
• Experience of field engineering and/or construction on a major Construction Site.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English, fluent Dutch required
