Voor onze opdrachtgever in de omgeving Amsterdam zijn wij op zoek naar een Chapter Lead - Architect
Are you an experienced enterprise architect with deep expertise in content and automation domains? We are looking for a Chapter Lead who will lead both the architecture strategy and the growth of a team of highly skilled architects. Based in Amsterdam, this position offers the opportunity to work with international colleagues located in the Netherlands, Poland, and Belgium.

As Chapter Lead, you will combine strategic architectural responsibilities with people leadership. You’ll define the architectural direction for the Enterprise Content & Automation (EC&A) domain, while managing and developing a diverse group of Domain and Solution Architects.

Your focus will be on content generation, distribution, archiving, and automation — all critical to modern enterprise operations. In parallel, you’ll mentor your team and ensure delivery excellence across current and future-state architecture.

Key Responsibilities – Architectural Leadership

✅ Act as subject matter expert across the full EC&A domain
✅ Stay current with emerging trends in content lifecycle and automation technologies
✅ Define long-term strategic architecture vision (5–10 years) based on internal and external drivers
✅ Align EC&A architectural strategy with broader technology and business strategy
✅ Maintain and govern current-state architecture across business, information, application, and technology domains
✅ Design and maintain target state architectures and architecture roadmaps
✅ Lead architectural governance, including review boards, deviation processes, and decision frameworks
✅ Produce and oversee standard architectures, patterns, and documentation for EC&A
✅ Review and validate architectural deliverables from team members
✅ Present clear and compelling materials at architectural and executive forums
✅ Work closely with business stakeholders, vendors, and IT leadership to align expectations
✅ Ensure effective implementation of approved architecture by delivery teams

Key Responsibilities – Chapter Leadership

✅ Recruit and onboard new architects into the chapter
✅ Manage performance and support individual career development
✅ Mentor and coach architects on both technical and soft skills
✅ Handle resource allocation and ensure capacity is in line with demand
✅ Maintain leave and attendance oversight
✅ Ensure compliance with company and departmental policies
✅ Communicate global architectural and technical developments to your team
✅ Represent the chapter in discussions with other domains and delivery tribes
✅ Promote a collaborative, learning-focused environment

We are looking for a well-rounded leader who can balance strategic thinking, architectural depth, and team development. You are confident in enterprise-level communication and passionate about the impact of structured, scalable architecture.

Required Skills and Experience

✅ Proven experience delivering enterprise architecture across multiple EC&A domains
✅ Strong knowledge of content generation, document archiving, retention, automation, and distribution systems
✅ Experience defining both current and future-state architectures and implementing strategic roadmaps
✅ Excellent communicator capable of tailoring messages to both technical and business audiences
✅ Demonstrated ability to influence and align diverse stakeholder groups
✅ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, or related fields
✅ Expertise in architectural frameworks (e.g., TOGAF), modeling languages (e.g., ArchiMate), and agile methodologies
