Voor onze opdrachtgever in de omgeving Amsterdam zijn wij op zoek naar een Calypso Dev Engineer.
Step into the dynamic world of financial markets as a Calypso Expert, where you’ll be a key player in our FXMM Hedging team. This role puts you at the center of strategic innovation, enhancing our back-office operations to support thousands of daily trades and billions in financial transactions. As a Calypso Expert, you will be part of a global team supporting mission-critical trading systems. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional squads to refine system functionality, implement innovative solutions, and support key business processes. You’ll work on both technical development and stakeholder engagement, playing a vital role in projects that ensure operational excellence and compliance with financial market standards.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Translate functional specifications into application features in collaboration with the Product Owner
✅ Design, build and implement enhancements using Calypso, Java, and related tools
✅ Lead and coordinate strategic back-office improvement projects
✅ Support global business users and stakeholders across regions in a DevOps setup
✅ Recommend improvements to development tools, methodologies, and deployment strategies
✅ Work within Agile frameworks (bi-weekly sprints) to deliver continuous value
✅ Configure and manage Calypso workflows, message setups, and payment-related features

Je profiel
We're looking for a technically skilled, analytically minded individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You combine deep Calypso expertise with a proactive, solution-driven mindset.Required Skills and Experience
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Calypso platform (Back-Office operations)
• Strong understanding of workflows, message setups, and system configuration in Calypso
• Advanced Java development skills
• Basic understanding of payment processing systems
• Strong analytical thinking and end-to-end problem-solving skills
• Effective communicator with the ability to work across global teams
• Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments
• Continuous learner who stays current with financial and technology trends

• Gross monthly salary: €4.367 – €7.088 (based on experience)
• 24–27 vacation days depending on contract
